About Me
My name is Daniel D'Agostino, and I am the author of this website and several others. I am known as "Gigi" because I have the same surname as the famous Italian DJ, Gigi D'Agostino.

In my childhood, I was a very non-technical and non-scientific person. Natural languages were my passion at the time. However, I always loved playing computer games as a hobby, and always wished I could learn how to create such masterpieces.
In 2002 I began experimenting with web technologies and programming. I also joined the Ultima Dragons Internet Chapter. This was a stepping stone that led me to create my first website, take part in several remake projects, and learn many things about programming, web development and game creation. I was still 14 and there were many older people with plenty of experience that I could learn from.
GCC started in 2006, when I was still a University student. As a result, a lot of the content in this website reflects various interests I had at the time, including game development, systems programming, networking and web development.
Many things have changed since then, and aside from completing my studies (earning a BSc IT (Hons) and a MSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence), I have been working as a software engineer for well over a decade. See my personal homepage for some things I've done over the years in my free time.
